Bourbon County will seek proposals from asbestos abatement companies after a consultant's report identified asbestos-containing materials in the courthouse basement, Commissioner David Beerbower told the County Commission on Monday. Commissioners also authorized a grant application to recover part of the testing cost.

Beerbower presented the reports from Apex Environmental Consultants Inc. for the commission to receive for review and the public record. The Monitor previously reported on the assessment's findings.
